In this blog, I will show three-dimensional view of the eye vessels such as retina and choriocapillaris mainly by scanning electron microscopy.

Retinal vessels and choriocapillaris
These are retinal vessels (upper and lower left), and choriocapillaris (left) of mice eyes. Left view is the choriocapillaris viewed from Bruch membrane, which is dissolved and disappeared by KOH treatment. Right views are a retinal venule (up) and arteriol (down). Choriocapillaris does not have smooth muscle cells or pericytes at retinal side in contrast that retinal vessels have them.
I am Japanese biologist on normal and tumor blood vessels with special reference to the microscopic imaging. I am searching a chance to take part in the eye research.

I will send my CV and publication. Thank you.
